We have always said that the fume hood also needs regular maintenance. However, many people do not know when and what kind of maintenance should be carried out for the fume hood, so they blindly maintain the fume hood. The direct result is that the more maintenance the fume hood is, the worse it will be.

 

Every three months, use neutral detergent to clean all parts of the cabinet, including the inside and outside of the glass window, inner lining plate and deflector; lubricate the sliding rail, cable and balance pulley of the regulating door.

 

Every six months: it is recommended to check whether the adjusting mechanism is corroded or damaged; check whether the fans, motors, shafts and bearings are working normally; test whether the remote control devices (faucets and gas cylinders) are working normally; check whether the exhaust outlet pipeline, especially the connection part between the exhaust hood and the pipeline, is leaking; Check the inside of the exhaust hood, especially the elbow, for accumulation of impurities.

 

When there is abnormal phenomenon in the inspection, the damaged or defective parts should be replaced immediately according to the specification; when chemical liquid splashes out at any time, the neutral cleaner should be used immediately.

 

During the maintenance, it should be noted that any staff engaged in maintenance and inspection should wear protective equipment, such as masks, protective masks, protective glasses, acid and alkali resistant gloves, etc., and in the process of the experiment, if there is a dangerous situation, it is necessary to eliminate the danger immediately before continuing the maintenance of the fume hood.
